Why we give.
As responsible stewards over God’s resources, our tithing is a visible demonstration of acknowledging God as our SOURCE. We give to him FIRST – not the leftovers but first fruits. God blesses us when we tithe so that we can be a blessing to others. By honoring God with our tithes, he gives back to us: 9 Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops; 10 then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine. Proverbs 3:9-10 New International Version (NIV)
